Gunmen have kidnapped the District Head of Kasuwar Daji in Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara state, Mediasmartsnews has reported.
According to the reports the gunmen stormed Kasuwar Daji village in large numbers and abducted the District Head, Ibrahim S/Fada Kasuwar Daji in the early hours of Thursday.
“I heard about two gunshots between 2:30 and 3:00 am. I was called later around 4am by a friend who told me that our district head was abducted. It is terrible indeed,” a resident of the area said.
There is no official statement from the state government or Police as at the time of filing this report.
ASHENEWS’ calls to the spokesperson of Zamfara Police Command, SP Shehu Mohammed for comments were not responded to.
