#NigeriaDecides2023 – The majority leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Dogowa has been arrested by the Kano State Police Command, SOLACEBASE has reported.
He was arrested in Tuesday, in connection with the alleged Sunday’s murder and arson at Tudun Wada LGA office of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), after the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
A very reliable source told SOLACEBASE on Tuesday that the lawmaker was arrested at the international wing of the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport by the Department of State Services (DSS), and later handed over to the police.
Doguwa was on his way to Saudi Arabia for Lesser Hajj.
“As I speak with you, he is undergoing interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department, Bompai Police Headquarters.
“We were informed this afternoon that one of the victims of the attack at Tudun Wada died at the hospital.’’
However, at a news conference on Tuesday, Alhassan Ado Dogowa had denied involvement in the attack and burning of NNPP campaign office, accusing the party of complicity.
