The complex of Kogi State House of Assembly, located at Crusher Area of Lokoja, the state capital has been razed by fire.
The fire incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, destroyed the roof of the Chamber and caused damage to the floor of the house
The Speaker of the house, Mathew Kolawole, and the state Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara could not disclose the cause of the fire, when they visited the complex.
Kolawole however said that he suspects sabotage. “We should leave security people to do their work and give us a report going forward,” the speaker said.
