The Borno State Police Command has paraded 55 suspects alleged to be in connection of committing various crimes in the state.
The commissioner of Police Borno State, CP Abdu Umar, who made the disclosure at a press briefing on Thursday in Maiduguri, listed the crimes to include kidnappings, rape, armed robbery and vandalization of government properties.
According to Umar, one of the suspects, a 46 year old woman, Ensa Esewa abducted three children; Mustapha Abdullahi 7 years, Abdullahi Mustapha 5 years and Hajara AlHassan 3 years.
He explained that the suspect abducted the children with the intention of taking them to another woman named Lady B in Lagos, for the sum of N500,000.
Umar said the suspect was arrested at Borno Express Motor park with N410 on her trying to flee with the children.
He CP assured that the children are in sound health and reunited with their families, adding that the command has also succeeded in arresting some minors for thievery and vandalization of government properties.
One Babura an old man was also arrested for allegedly raping a nine year old girl.
