Death toll from cholera outbreaks in Bauchi state has risen to 42, the chairperson of the state primary healthcare develoment agency, Dr Rilwanu Mohammed has disclosed.
Giving an update in an interview with ASHENEWS on Friday, Mohammed said Bauchi local government has the highest number of recorded death with 22 deaths and 2,185 infections, followed by Toro local government area, which recorded eight deaths and 212 infections.
ASHENEWS recalls that Bauchi state, as at 16th June, recorded 2,874 cases in 16 local government areas and neighbouring Bassa local government area of Plateau state.
