A former Minister of Health and 11th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (2010–2015), Professor Isaac Folorunso Adewole, FAS, is set to deliver the 14th Annual Lecture of the Registry of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Mr. Isaac Fafila, the lecture, titled “The Conundrum of Leadership Emergence in Nigerian Educational Institutions: The Missing Links”, will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the University Auditorium.
The event, now in its 14th edition, has grown into a significant platform in Nigeria’s higher education calendar. It will attract academic and administrative leaders from universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, as well as professional university administrators, thought leaders, key education sector stakeholders, and members of the general public.
The Vice-Chancellor of FUTA, Professor Adenike Oladiji, will serve as Chairperson of the occasion, while the Registrar, Mr. Charles Adeleye, will act as Chief Host.
The lecture is expected to generate insightful discourse on leadership challenges and opportunities in Nigeria’s educational system.
