The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike has tackled the senator representing the FCT Ireti Kingibe following a fresh altercation between them.
Wike, on Monday, was responding to an earlier claim by the lawmaker that FCT residents were not impressed with Wike’s performance.
Kingibe had alleged that Wike was out of touch with the needs of FCT residents.
According to her, the FCT has no schools, or hospitals and lacks potable water.
Wike said in response that he was not seeking her friendship but was focused on the job given to him by President Bola Tinubu.

The minister said he is not in office to please her, adding that he has done well within the short time of his appointment.
He also questioned the contributions of Senator Kingibe to the welfare and development of FCT residents since she assumed office as their legislator in the National Assembly.
“If you’re angry, go and hang yourself…you say there are no schools and hospitals, as a legislator what have you done? How many bills have you sponsored for us to improve our education and health sectors?” He asked.
Wike challenged Kingibe to contest the FCT seat again in 2027 to test her popularity, noting that the FCT is his “territory”.
He assured that the Labour Party senator would lose the election.
