ASHENEWS reports that the Sokoto state Command of the Nigeria Police Force, has disclosed how it rescued Barrister Rukayyat Mustafa in Sokoto.
This platform recalls that bandits invaded Badon Runji Area Sokoto and kidnapped Barrister Rukayya Mustafa in the wee hours of last Sunday.
Barrister Fadinand Okotete, had told ASHENEWS in a telephone conversation that Mrs Mustafa had indeed regained her freedom.

Briefing journalists on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, Hayatu Kaigama said a suspect, Salim Abdulsalam was arrested in connection to the incident.
According to Kaigama, the police operatives from Yabo Division in conjunction with the military and Vigilante Group, acted on credible information and rescued the Barrister.

He further said that the team went to the den of bandits around Binji axis where they traced footprints that led to arrest of the kidnappers after exchange of gun battle.
The team recovered 10 rounds of live ammunition, two solar panels, one Tecno Mobile phone and blanket at the scene.
Kaigama commended the dedication of the officers and men of the Command for their tireless performances.
He also urged the public to cooperate with the police through providing vital information to aid the fight against crime, as security is everybody’s’ business.
