A 28-year-old woman, Onyinye Biose, who allegedly conducted herself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace, on Friday appeared before an Ogudu Chief Magistrates’Court in Lagos.

Biose, a car wash attendant and resident of Araromi Street, Ogudu, Lagos State, is standing trial for alleged conspiracy and breach of peace, but pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Donjor Perezi, said that the defendant and some persons at large committed the offence at her residence, on Jan. 10.

Perezi said that the defendant acted in a disorderly manner by going to the apartment of Mrs Omolola Balogun, her neighbour, and furiously hit her door, which caused her apprehension for her life.

“Biose threatened to deal with Balogun who is her neighbor by all means over a little misunderstanding they had in the compound.

The offence, the prosecutor said, contravened the provisions of Sections 412 and 168 of the criminal law of Lagos state, 2015.

Chief Magistrate M.O Tanimola admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The magistrate adjourned the case until March 24, for mention.
