The Bauchi Police Command have arrested a 22-year old suspect for the gruesome killing of one Adamu Ibrahim, aged 17 years from Wake village in Alkaleri local government area of the state.

The suspect, Musa Hamza of same address lured his victim into the forest  in the out skirts of the village where he used a stick to hit and killed him.

The spokesperson of the command, DSP Ahmed Wakil in a press statement on Monday, said Musa allegedly “beheaded the victim’s head from the body,  forcefully gouged out his two eyes, burnt the body and head and buried them separately in a shallow grave located in a nearby bush.”

According to the statement, during investigation, all the buried human parts were exhumed and taken to General Hospital Alkaleri for medical examination where the medical doctor certified the corpse death.

DSP Ahmed said upon interrogation, the two eyes were recovered from the suspect, who voluntarily confessed to have committed the crime.

The suspect said he was asked by a ritualist to bring human eyes for rituals to enable him get rich.

Investigation is on-going after which the suspect would be charged to court.
