A statement from the Niger Republic’s Ministry of National Defense says its Defense and Security Forces (SFDS), has killed dozens of terrorists who were preparing to attack Banibangou and Abala (Tillabéri region).
According to this source, last August 22 at around 13:00, several dozens of terrorists, who were preparing to attack the towns of Banibangou and Abala, were neutralized by the Defense and Security Forces in that area.
According to the statement, “It is so that through the prompt and vigorous intervention of the air and land forces through simultaneous strikes on different positions, that allowed the enemy to be confused.”
The Ministry of National Defense added that following quick intervention, the balance sheet established announces that there was no friend side, “no loss in human life.” Terrorist side, more than two hundred motorcycles and five (05) vehicles destroyed, several terrorists neutralized including important leaders”…

The Minister of State, Minister of National Defense, on behalf of the President of the CNSP, Head of State, congratulated the entire FDS and urges them to be vigilant.
