Forty-eight hours after abduction, bandits have released seven out of over 100 kidnap persons in the Dogon Noma-Ungwan Gamo community in the Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
The seven kidnap victims, who were kidnapped in the early hours of Saturday, were released unconditionally on Monday.
According to a family member of one of the kidnapped persons, Mohammed Aliyu, the terrorists did not give reasons for the victims release.
He said the released victims captives includes three women, three men, and a nursing mother, adding that they have been reunited with their families.

A resident of the community, Aminu Kajuru, who holds a traditional title in the emirate, lamented that the area is now under siege.
He said the bandits ordered residents to come out of their houses and abducted them.
This recent abduction underscores a worrying trend in Kaduna State and surrounding areas, where communities are increasingly under threat from bandits and criminal gangs.
ASHENEWS recalls that recently, bandits who abducted 16 residents of Gonin Gora community in Chikun local government of Kaduna state, demanded N40 trillion, 11 Hilux vans, and 150 motorcycles as ransom in exchange for their release.
A community leader, John Yusuf said, “The bandits have contacted us. They are demanding N40 trillion, 11 Hilux vans, and 150 motorcycles for the release of 16 people they are holding captive”

“Where are we going to get this kind of money? Even if we sell the entire community, we cannot raise N40 trillion. Even Nigeria as a country has never made a budget of N40 trillion.
“The abductions happened twice within four days interval. During the first attack, three people were kidnapped while in the second attack, 13 people were abducted bringing the total number of people being held captive to 16.”
